Tuesday night 4-star DL update

Adding another official visitor to the weekend docket.

Pike Road (Ala.) four-star defensive tackle Khurtiss Perry plans to take an official visit to Clemson this weekend, per a source with knowledge of his recruitment.

Defensive tackles coach Todd Bates conducted an in-home visit with Perry on Tuesday night.

Perry (6-2, 268), ranked No. 129 nationally by Rivals.com, included Clemson in his final five last month -- joined by Alabama, Auburn, Texas and UCF.

Clemson offered Perry in September, making him the next move at the defensive tackle position after five-star target Travis Shaw pledged UNC.

He then did not use an unofficial visit to Clemson during the season.

Perry has looked to be an instate battle between Alabama and Auburn, with the two scoring back-to-back official visits at the end of last month.

The Tide have long been considered the frontrunners. But after Auburn nabbed an official visit for the Iron Bowl after the Alabama official, Perry told reporters afterward that Auburn had emerged as his No. 1. Auburn is selling Perry on being a defensive end.

As we have reported, we also expect Irmo (S.C.) Dutch Fork four-star receiver Antonio Williams and Jennings (La.) four-star running back Trevor Etienne to be taking official visits this weekend -- along with East St. Louis four-star corner commitment Toriano Pride, who missed Clemson's big November official visit weekend because of his high school playoff game.
