We can look at this one of two ways. The first being which areas of the football program do you HOPE to see improvement this fall, and the second being which areas do you EXPECT to see improvement this fall?
I'll start.
Hope:
OL - I hope to see the Tigers OL improve at OT and C. Of course there is room for improvement at OG too, but I really want to see the bad snaps reduced and the pressure on the QB kept to a minimum.
TE - The Tigers haven't really had that presence at TE that we consistently had a few years back with Palmer, Allen, and Ford.
Expect:
QB - I expect to see the QB play improve, when considering DW vs Stoudt. Now of course this is based upon the further expectation that a year in the offseason will prove to be beneficial in keeping DW healthy this fall.
RB - Aside from injuries, I'm not sold on the idea that Clemson would have been exponentially better last season at RB with Zac Brooks or CJ Davidson getting the bulk of the snaps. While both of those guys have their strengths, I don't see them as the answer to the position. IMHO the injuries keeping Gallman, Choice, and Dye on the sidelines were much worse for the health of our RB stable as these are the three best RB's on campus and we were without them for a large portion of last year. So again, based upon health, I expect the RB corps to be improved.
