1) it was a glorified preseason game. It doesn't matter in the long run as far as making the playoff. Based on Saturday, Miami is the lead dog to catch. Its a long season and anything can happen. Flush it and move on.

2) Not only time we will be embarrassed this year. This is a transitional year. We are still a few upgrades away at WR and a new QB away from being able to win games. Defense is talented but not exceptionally deep and special teams is in need of a revamp.

I rewatched every game last year at least once in between games to see if I could understand what/why things were the way they were. The really is no need this year as it is literally a continuation of last season. QB lacks awareness, Wr's that are playing are not game changers, and the TE's and WR's for the most part are not willing/good blockers. Riley is not a bad OC but he is a product of being the protege of Sonny Dykes and Rhett Lashlee and its unclear as of today what his offense is vs Dabo's traditional approach. Dabo's willingness to embrace change is not on the level of the GOAT(Saban). He simply wants to win his way more than he wants to win period. None of that makes him a lesser coach as many great coaches fit the same mold but it will stain his legacy a bit among the greats.
