Longtime Pelion head football coach Ben Freeman informed me tonight that he announced his retirement today. The state of South Carolina needs more coaches like Mr. Freeman mentoring young men.

As most of you know, Mr. Freeman is the father of former Clemson offensive lineman Dalton Freeman.
