.. and I have to admit Cole Stoudt played a great first half.. on our third drive Mike Williams had 2 huge drops on perfectly thrown balls and then on the 4th drive Peake had a drop on a long ball , though it was well-defended. On our 5th drive Watson makes his legendary debut only to have Stoudt come back in and decisively drive us down the field for our 3rd td to put us up 21-14. It's at that point that we had our huge special teams failure on Gurleys completely uncontested kickoff return.
I'm aware that this has been discussed ad nauseum but watching it again has made me feel a little better about the decision to start Stoudt coming out of camp last year.. I'm sure if I watch the 2nd half I may come back to the conventional wisdom but I just can't bring myself to watch that great Defense wilt under all of those 3 and outs...
