1) Bigtime win for Brownell and the Team today as we defeat two very worthy opponents to win a nice preseason tourney close to home without heavy travel. What Coach has accomplished this early in the season after losing a big core of winners from last years' great eight finish creates a lot of excitement for this year.
2) Good commitment for the QB position from a guy who is athletic and looks to have a strong and accurate southpaw arm. He wasnt our first choice and he wasnt our second, but he chose Clemson first site unseen. He has my support. And he comes on a day when the team moves into the 12 Spot for the CFB. I am excited for everyone.
3) Good presser today for Dabo with the announcement of Rev Share and NIL Point System for Donors. The more I learn of the import of today's Rev Share developments, the more excited I am about the future of Clemson athletics. Money, money, money rears its ugly head again, but the cap brings the money within our parameters thanks to Dabo having the support from the Admin. When he says no one will have more money than Clemson , he speaks the truth, provided that everyone plays by the rules. I am proud that we have a coach who is not only willing to play by the rules, but insists upons it. A positive development for Clemson and positive press for Clemson --The State newspaper's article is well done and you can bet that the folks in Columbia are already prepping a public response. As for me, I am going to increase my annual giving just a little bit more, and, since I will now get points for it, I am giving for my first time to NIL.
