ITT we predict the changes Dabo will make this off season.
I said before the game that Dabo was going to make changes this offseason to his staff and recruiting approach. He had to. I also said that if we lost for the second time in a row at home to the cocksuckers, Dabo was going to make even more changes and accelerate those changes. Well, unfortunately, the latter occurred, and us falling into the ACC title game doesn’t change that.
So what changes will Dabo make this off season? Here are my predictions:
1. Wes Goodwin is gone.
2. At least one more assistant is gone. I’m not sure which one or two, but my gut says Wes will not be the only one. Conn? Grisham?
3. Dabo lands three or four contributors from the transfer portal.
4. Dabo and Clemson adjust our approach to NIL fund raising. We have already seen signs of this finally after 3-4 years of sitting on our ass. More information is coming out this week, but I want formal confirmation that 110 dollars will be credited to our donor level dollars - not just IPTAY points. Those are very different. Other things are also coming, such as beer sales in the stadium next year.
5. Dabo changes his approach with how he compensates players for NIL. He cannot continue with this rewards-based payment system only. If he does, he won’t have any talent to retain. He has to pay for players coming in, which may mean current roster guys get a bump. I’m not sure, but the current approach isn’t sustainable.
