This is where we are. The GOP's embrace of the Big Lie, QAnon cooks, and violent extremists has created this situation.
And now they are too chickenshit to stand up and do what's right for the country.
I sympathize with concerns about their own safety, but where were they when their backers broke into the Michigan Capitol with long guns or plotted to kidnap and assassinate Governor Whitmer or made any of dozens of threats against Dem office holders (for instance, the AG of Colorado has had to travel with security for the last six months because he's received death threats over his audacity to challenge Trump's various illegal dealings in court). Dems haven't stopped standing up for what's right, but I guess that's too much to ask for most Republicans.
