What will you do when the next lockdown comes?

Because it's coming.

I'm not telling anyone they should get or not get the vaccine... and I'm not making a political statement... but it looks like another lockdown is imminent.

How do you think this will effect football season?

Do you think states will comply freely?

I will do absolutely nothing @Joe Cobb and keep living my life. The government is done telling me what to do and thankful to live in sc where we won’t be locked down
That's part of my question... do you think SC, GA, and Florida will not comply? And if so, then how does that effect football?

Will continue to enjoy the extra time at home with my family. I’m in the best shape of my life mentally, physically, financially, etc. Lots of time to pursue passions outside of the daily grind of going into the office

Here’s my hot take. If football stadiums are reduced to half or 1/4 capacity again there may only be enough programs left for the new SEC anyway. Can’t do that again. Programs will die

If you look at the UK data the delta variant peaked and is receding in 3-4 weeks. Panic should be over by mid August in most of the country i don’t think most governors want to lock things down a second time. More liberal states may but they have already started that. We should be good by football season. Look at how low the death and hospitalization rates are compared to the previous peaks and it really should not be something to panic about. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/

If another lockdown occurs, I will drive to the border of the state and help build the wall to keep out all of the carpet-bagger refugees.

I am kind of joking, but there is some truth to this. South Carolina will not lock down, nor will states like FL and TX. I think this could cause an even greater amount of migration than what we have already seen in the last year.

There was already a "lockdown?"

Seriously, I'm retired so my lifestyle is a bit...umm...sedentary. It really didn't affect me all that much, except for being asked to wear a mask in The Fresh Market, Whole Foods, and Total Wine.

But, seriously folks, we're all ten feet tall and bulletproof here on TI, but about everyone has someone in their life who is not. Try to keep that in mind.

Hospitals are running out of beds again. This could be all over if everyone got vaccinated.
The reason for the variants is because Moderna and Pfizer tested 75,000 people before they tested animals and now you are seeing the variants from the leaky vaccines. This if anything put unvaccinated people at higher risk. They had authorization from Trump to conduct clinical trials before testing on animals. In fact they did them concurrently. Enjoy your snake oil.

My daughter is a nurse practitioner in the Charlotte area. She says hospitals were filling because so many people were taking care of things they had postponed. COVID is not overrunning bospitals
Not overrunning that particular hospital. Might be the exception and not the rule.

This is all part of a master plan. Dems know they’re going to get smoked in 2022 and are in panic mode. Use the same blueprint… lockdowns, masks, fear, Jan.6th, Trump, to get mail in voting! Divert attention to anything but what is really happening.
Exactly what is really happening??

I don't think we will or should shut down again, at this point 97% of the people being hospitalized for Covid are unvaccinated. If the hospitals run out of beds for them... so be it. They had the opportunity to get vaccinated and chose not to. Hate to be that way, but the unvaxxed are not making sacrifices for us, why should we make sacrifices for them?

That's all of the US (including northern states where we have enough sense to get vaccinated).

Here is florida:

Doesn't look bad in FL either. Hospitals are designed to run at 80% utilization. Why would you build a hospital that had oversized capacity? You people don't understand how things work in the real world.

Do you understand how trends work? That is not a good looking trend. That is your biggest problem is your myopic view of "reality". And before you have google it, the definition of myopic is:

myopic | ˌmīˈäpik | adjective nearsighted. • lacking imagination, foresight, or intellectual insight: the government still has a myopic attitude to public spending.

Look at the bright side. The hospital is making money. Nurses will be dancing soon. At Duke-Energy we love it when it's really hot outside because you all are buying more power from us.
