Roku or Chromecast? and which type?
I've got a smart TV and the wife already watches Netflix & some other things on it. I'm primarily wanting to watch ESPN3 or movies I have downloaded on my laptop, without having to run an HDMI cable.
One movie, the new Jurasic World, I found online and had to install a video player on my laptop because it was not a standard media format. So I cannot just point the web browser on the TV to a website, because the TV does not have the player for this file format. So I definitely have to play it on my laptop and send it to the TV. But because I have already downloaded it, I'm not really streaming it.
