“I told those guys [true freshmen] coming out of half, ‘Alright, you ain’t a freshman anymore,’” Shane Beamer said. “You just played a half of SEC football, and we’re past that excuse and whatnot. They’ll get better and learn from it. I’m proud of them for getting in and handling their first college game like they did.”
