You think? Maybe Trump shouldn't have set a precedent by pardoning all the criminals that did his bidding. It doesn't get more wild west or swampy than that. But my guess is Joe won't intervene. He could have stopped the investigation when he was sworn in but kept the U.S. Attorney in Delaware who was heading up the investigation.

You mean like the time Trump pardoned his former campaign manager after he admitted to, among other things, not registering as a foreign agent acting on behalf of the the former pro-Russian president of Ukraine? I wonder where said ex-president of Ukraine currently resides.

So the FBI and the DOJ just chose not to pursue it for years despite countless issues and concerns (even from Congress/govt agencies, financial institutions etc ) dating back to when Joe was VP? If you think Joe hasn't held this out of court/public view for as long as he can, you're not from earth.
The only reason this is coming to the surface now are the FBI whistleblowers coming out and the growing possibility of a Republican return to power. It's a preemptive effort to charge him with a lighter tax crime so he avoids serious charges of corruption, fraud and international business crimes which carry potential felony status and prison sentences.
He's no less guilty, if not more guilty of abusing the system than the man you hate the most.
I'm on the same side that I always am. If there's a crime, charge him, put him on trial, and if guilty, lock him up. I have no problem with this.

He certainly didn't grift more off his dad's name than other president's relatives, but if he's guilty, lock him up. Again, don't care if Hunter Biden goes to jail. BUT... and this is just my opinion (with no legal expertise AT ALL). Hunter's Laptop was apparently dropped off at a Pawn Shop to be fixed and he left it there. The owner tried to return it... failed... and was going to sell it. No problems here so far. THEN he found what was on it, and called Rudy to come get it. Rudy had it for a couple of days then turned it in.
IMHO, any defense lawyer is going to eat that raw. All he/she has to do is establish reasonable doubt in ONE jury member that MAYBE the pawn shop owner or Rudy altered that laptop for political reasons. I'm doubting a guilty verdict here even if the info on the laptop is 100% Hunters.
Again, not saying he isn't guilty, but just doubting that what's on that laptop is going to do it given the chain of events.

I don't know what Joe knew or didn't know, but I do believe he's tried to put distance between himself and his son's business dealings - to what extent, I don't know. I also don't trust the sources that claim he was complicit. I also don't believe he benefitted financially from any of his son's deals but would that be a criminal offense if he did? Here's the thing I can't understand - what value would there be in it for you if he was criminally charged? He can't be prosecuted while he's still in office and he won't run again so where's the payoff for you MAGAs? Just so you can say, oh look, your candidate did something bad too?
