In the pantheon of country music? I celebrate his entire catalogue. I would put him around number 9 in the official rankings.
He definitely has some bangers. Please Remember Me and She's My Kind of Rain are personal favorites. In the pantheon of country music? I celebrate his entire catalogue. I would put him around number 9 in the official rankings.
This. Really gross.Solid pick up. Though he can be nauseating at times with the whole nobody's ever been in love like Faith and I shtick
Agree with those 2 somewhere near the top.Good, very very good. Not top 10. Been to his concert, it was awesome and well worth the $$$. The soldier song was unforgettable. George Strait & Keith Whitley, IMO the 2 goats(subjective I know).
Name 25 better and I’ll agree. No way you can.Fringe top 25 at best.
He wasn’t wrongTurn the radio every time he comes on now. Will never forgive him for the pregame concert in NOLA and wearing that LSU jacket.
No doubt. He and Kenny Chesney are all timers. He wasn’t wrong
Maybe you’ll change your mind in your next 30 yearsTim McGraw is barely sniffing the top 25 in the history of country music 🤦♂️
Maybe. Doubt it though. Look, I like him. He’s just not top 10 good at all.Maybe you’ll change your mind in your next 30 years
Hank Jr, Toby Keith, Vince Gill, oak ridge boys, Kenny Chesnesney, Hank snow are all instantly disqualified. He’s not bad, but top 10 is a stretch. You’ve got George Strait, Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Hank Jr, Toby Keith, Don Williams, Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Marty Robbins, Hank Snow, Ronnie Milsap, Oak Ridge Boys, Statler Brothers, Keith Whitley, Ray Price, Eddie Arnold, Clint Black, Kenny Chesney, and so on & so on.
Tim McGraw is good, but all time???? Not close.
Explanation? Even if you take them out there’s 20 people better than McGraw, and I didn’t even list Don Williams or Tom T Hall. Or Roy Clark. 🤷🏼♂️😎Hank Jr, Toby Keith, Vince Gill, oak ridge boys, Kenny Chesnesney, Hank snow are all instantly disqualified.
Roy Clark? Okay BoomerExplanation? Even if you take them out there’s 20 people better than McGraw, and I didn’t even list Don Williams or Tom T Hall. Or Roy Clark. 🤷🏼♂️😎
Buck Owens is great but I would argue that’s a different genre. That’s more westernOr Buck Owens 😂😂😂
If you think that’s the best country song you’ve ever heard, there’s no way I can change your mind LOL 😂😂😂Where the green grass grows is the goat. Change my mind.
Roy Clark was a badass DaBadass. I’ll agree, probably not on McGraws level though 🤷🏼♂️😎Roy Clark? Okay Boomer
That’s where “Country Western” music got its name 👍👍👍Buck Owens is great but I would argue that’s a different genre. That’s more western
Sunday morning coming down might be betterIf you think that’s the best country song you’ve ever heard, there’s no way I can change your mind LOL 😂😂😂
You’re ok with me LOLSunday morning coming down might be better
Yeah but they’re two different genres. You have country music which more influenced by Appalachian music and western music which is influenced by Tejana music. That’s where “Country Western” music got its name 👍👍👍
The two terms were married at one time. Country Western was the way it was.Yeah but they’re two different genres. You have country music which more influenced by Appalachian music and western music which is influenced by Tejana music.
I like Dwight Yoakam’s style. Most of what we listen to on the East coat is country music. Some of the popular “western” artists are more like Dwight Yoakam or Steve Earle or The Radiators.
i like Stapleton but think he’s a little bit of try hard on the vocals. He’s like a country version of a black pop singer singing the national anthem on every song. Church is really good. The two newer guys I really like today are Chris Stapleton & Eric Church. Also like Billy Currington
Maybe like Aaron Neville a little, only better?? 😂😂N

This and Cowboy in Me. That version from Yellowstone was the tits.Where the green grass grows is the goat. Change my mind.
