Well not white and not a Trump supporter, but yea.

I thought the statements about it assuredly being a white man based on him being brought into custody rather than shot, as well as VP Harris’ sister noting white men as the biggest terrorist threat to our country, were particularly measured and productive.

I was just thinking the other day how its been a while since a muslim took out a bunch of people. idk what you are talking about Harris's sister, however, the FBI has been saying that white supremacy groups are the current biggest terrorist threat in the US.

All of the noise just highlights the absurd state of the race conversation in our country.

Interesting about the FBI. Their own gun violence statistics seem to paint a different picture.

i mean i get people running with it - he looked like a white guy from the pic that was shown when he got arrested

people jumping to conclusions to fit an agenda is nothing new though

I mean, was her sister wrong? That's an odd hill to die on.

Not planning to die on any hill. More an observation of the state of race discussion in the US right now. Those touting racial sensitivity are awfully quick to make accusations by race. It's odd.

Here's mass shooter stats going back to 1982 BTW. 54% white. Much lower % of shooters across that time period than % of population, which infers that whites were less likely than other races to be mass shooters.

And you can probably find gun violence statistics pretty quickly and realize white dudes aren't exactly committing gun crimes at a higher per capita rate than others.

But yea there have been some nasty white psychos that have peppered the news for sure. Hopefully they burn in hell.

Speaking of race, this is a fun take on equality. We have two United States Senators openly opposing cabinet picks based solely on their race, gender and sexual orientation - you know, the very classes protected from employment discrimination.

Duckworth first told reporters on Tuesday that she had informed the White House she would oppose any "non-diversity" nominees until she gets a commitment from the executive branch for more high-ranking Asian American nominations.

"I am a 'no' vote, on the floor, on all non-diversity nominees. ... I will vote for racial minorities and LGBTQ but anybody else, I'm not voting for," said Duckworth, who is one of two Asian American senators.

i don't have a problem with it. minorities are incredibly underrepresented, the good thing though is that is starting to change.

regarding cabinet picks though:

am i going to get upset because she said she won't vote for any non-minority? nah not particularly. and please don't come out saying it's racist or a double standard, because we just won't agree on it

I just think it’s wrong to select someone on the basis of their skin color, sex or gender preference. That’s pretty basic.

And good ole SC is pretty progressive here. We have an African American senator and a LGBTQ senator. My house rep is female. And our last governor was Indian-American.

I laughed.

The good news is, since it was a muslim and not a white guy at least we won't have @TigerGrowls and his band of nimrods in here claiming it was a false flag.

Facts are not your friend unfortunately. The folks you're arguing with don't care about facts, don't care about truth and don't care about data but they are the people of science of course. :)

Let's call it what it is. It's a failure of our society to deal with people who are sick in the head. It's a failure to deal with violence through policing. We just want to blame objects and structures instead of looking to the responsible parties in all cases... people. Yes, people killing other people. We are all human and in most of these cases, we are all Americans. Those two identifying traits matter so much more than race, gender or sexuality. Well they matter more unless you're seeking to use those things to gain power over people. And the lemmings who get sucked in by this garbage will just go right along. It's a sad display to witness.

I wonder if they counted Elizabeth Warren as one of the Native Americans?

Can you help me with the data there? Kind of like what I provided above? Big fan of stats, facts and math.

All the U.S. intelligence agencies seem to agree on this point. And you're a Trump fan, so spare me the bullshit about stats, facts and math.

nah man i get it, and i can see the argument against her statements. it just doesn't really bug me because i think it's important that we get more qualified minorities in positions of power

I'm not a Trump fan. I've always supported my positions with stats, facts and math. You came with "seem to agree."

I missed the extreme volume of Christian extremists on the news looting, shooting, burning, seceding, rioting, etc. last year.

All good though. I'll keep my head on a swivel for Christian extremists during the next riot or when I'm in an unsafe area. Thanks for the tip.

LMAO... He may not be a USCjr fan but I've always thought LG was a big fan of the Cock. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Here are some facts: People who commit mass murders are crazy motherfvckers no matter their race, sex, religion, sexual preferences, political affiliation, etc. I say if they survive the tragic event then sentence their ass to death.

The narrative is quite clear, they want our guns and are building up opportunities to push gun legislation, they screwed the pooch on this one though, lots of retractos

Anti-racism turning racist it seems, sounds like projection but I’m not a psychologist, just stayed at a holiday inn express last night
