college educated? Don't get me wrong, they don't outnumber the doctors, lawyers etc.
One builds docks. One runs a trucking company. Another has a HVAC company. ...the list goes on. They have all been clients of mine for over 15 years. I've been in social settings with them, as well as professional. I've also used their services. Things(I think)they all have in common. 1) They fire the sh!t out of employees. 2) Their employees are well compensated and respectful 3) The owners are not dogmatists 4) All situations are opportunities...they are not dogmatists
I've started wondering if college is a bad roi unless you are in the applied sciences like engineering, etc???

I’d say most of my close HS friends who didn’t go to college are doing much better than the friends of mine with just a bachelors. Home renovation, landscaping, cosmetologists, electricians, private investigations. Most of them work for themselves and they work their asses off, but they’re killing it

Id say the college educated people I know have a better work/life balance, and generally less stress. Seems to be somewhat of a trade off.

I’d say if you’re gonna encourage your kids to go to college, definitely make sure they choose a practical field and pursue more than a bachelors

If they choose a trade, just make sure they have self discipline and a good understanding of finances. I know quite a few welders who make 150-250k a year, but they blow it all on $80k trucks and $30k side-by-sides, coke and hookers. Most college educated people don’t do that in my experience lol
