Why does it seem like the US is trying to start a war with Russia over Ukraine?

Money and posture. The US has interest in Ukraine. If you let Russia just invade and take over (see Obama days) they wont stop there. Same with China. China likely waiting to see what Russia does before they take over Taiwan. The US is not respected right now and Hidin' Biden is being tested by our two largest adversaries

Russia doesn't want NATO on their doorstep. Not sure I blame them. We wouldn't want a Chinese or Russian alliance on our doorstep I don't think. Seems like we care more about NATO that the European NATO members which is what it is supposed to protect.

Russia puts 100,000+ troops on the Ukraine border AFTER previously invading Crimea and the US is the one trying to start a war. Interesting perspective there...

To be honest, I'm not sure we could on a single front........too busy worrying about vaccine status and genderless bathrooms.
I have no idea/don't think Trump and Russia are in cahoots. I think Trump is a moron who couldn't/wouldn't be able to keep something like that a secret for even 10 minutes, let alone all this time.
Of course they weren't in cahoots. However, unfortunately we spent 2 years of tax payer money and thousands of false claims by people like adam schiff and many Democrats only to find out it was political disinformation paid for by Hilary Clinton that started the "probe".
The shit our country is in right now is a direct result of a lack of leadership and corruption. Until people realize that more government is not the answer and term limits have to be in place, we will always be in this mess. Liberals used to be in favor of things like smaller government, free speech, individual liberties....not anymore.
People like Biden, Pelosi, and Rhinos have been running our country into the ground for DECADES. They have all made millions upon millions upon millions as a public servant.
Everyone knew Biden would be a disaster but too many people had Trump derangement syndome and voted for a man who can't run the church choir. Elections have consequences and unfortunately we are getting exactly what we deserved and things are not going to get better under this administration. Only worse.
I absolutely think Putin and China Joe would run a wink wink operation here to shore up Joe and the dem parties approval ratings here in the US. We all know that govt leaders approval historically moves up considerably during any kind of wars as the vast majority of Americans put party aside and fall in with the leaders. We know that China Joe is making Putin money hand over fist with his abdication of the oil industry, so I certainly think Putin would help him here with a made for TV skirmish.

Ukraine really isnt all that important strategically and Russia really isnt the one we should be worried about here (*I'll come back to this). Putin is testing Biden and NATO's resolve here, but has no intention on a "hot war" or a invasion by means of physical conflict. He wants to "annex" Ukraine by way of political influence .... Putin cant afford a hot war/invasion because
1) Literally ...cant afford it
2) If physical conflict occurs, that torches Russia's energy exports to Western Europe
Russia is going to sit on the border, conduct a little espionage, all in the hopes of installing a "Russia friendly" leader in Ukraine AND then Ukraine will become a Russian province all without a shot being fired .....
What is REALLY worrisome is that the Chinese are watching intently on what Biden and NATO does here. If Putin is successful in annexing Ukraine by either physical or influential means, .... there will be a all out invasion of Taiwain, WHICH will destabilize the South China Sea and kick off World War 3 ................. this time with Nukes!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that only applies to Ukraine. Joe Biden just sent armed U.S. Special Operations soldiers into Syria without the permission of the Syrian Government. That is called an invasion.

Of course, we always justify our violations of international laws and borders by insisting we are just defending ourselves against a threat. Duh!! What the hell do you think the Russians will say if they decide to send their Special Operations forces into Ukraine to kill “terrorists” that are targeting Russian allies?
But there is something very fishy and wrong about this latest “counter-terrorism” strike. While it is true that Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi is an ISIS leader, there is ZERO justification to deploy U.S. soldiers on the ground around his house. We had him located and could have taken him out with a drone strike. There is no reason to put U.S. troops and pilots at risk to kill a guy that is not hiding in a bunker.
Biden defenders insist that we needed to send troops because, “we did not want to risk killing women and children.” Well, that failed. Our soldiers, acting on orders from Joe Biden, killed women and children. Do you remember the last terrorist attack that Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi masterminded against the United States and its citizens? Yeah, neither do I.
This was a political hit. Biden’s polls are tanking and his advisors were scrambling to come up with a foreign threat that would allow Dementia Joe to flex his tiny muscles. There was no immediate threat to justify this kind of attack but who cares about rationale when you are desperate to shore up your shrinking credibility.
Let’s face facts. The death of Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi is a pure assassination without any strategic or tactical value beyond trying to make Joe Biden look competent as a commander. But it actually exposes his incompetence and fecklessness with respect to Ukraine. He demands that Russia respect international borders he himself wantonly violates such borders. I am sure this point has not escaped Vladimir Putin’s attention.
