I agree. He's an ideologue that lives in a massive echo chamber.

Trump is a pragmatist that has been directionally consistent with his rhetoric.

America First does not mean that we can ignore stuff going on in the rest of the world. No New Wars does not mean that we shouldn't take decisive military action as a last resort when in Americas best interest and all other options are exhausted. It does mean that we shouldn't get involved in multi-year boots on the ground operations with unclear objectives and diminishing marginal returns for the US the longer we stay. (i.e. Afghanistan and Iraq).

Limited US military action in Iran to destroy the deeply buried nuke site in Fordow (sp?) (1x B-2., 2x MOPs.) if there is no way for us to negotiate it away, and it impossible for Israel to do the job would be consistent with both. IMHO. However, this is based upon my perspective that Iran getting a nuke would be catastrophic for everyone.

IMHO, Tucker is taking the position that any military action will end up looking like Afghanistan, and that's just not true. We can choose to do it, but it is not an inevitability.
