BC previous 3 losses were by 19 points. We beat them by 17 in one game.
In 5 games, BC had allowed TWO offensive TD, but only ONE TD drive longer than 4 yards. It was an 8 play 84 yard drive to FSU. That is giving up one TD drive outside the red zone in 5 games. Salty.
We drove it 75 and 80 yards for offensive TDs in the first half alone. So Clemson's first half was more TD drives than rest of their scheudule, including FSU, Duke, and a pretty salty NIU team, had cobbled together all year.
We later drove 6/98 and 9/85 for offensive TD. Our FG drives were 7/66 and 9/69.
3 prior ACC opponents (FSU/Duke/Wake) had scored 26 points on 587 yards. And keep in mind, 7 of FSU's points were a defensive score, so that is really 19 offensive points, 1 TD, 4 FG.
Clemson scored 34 points on 532 yards. And we started every drive for those points on our side of the field.
I think this win will look better as the year goes on, and looks better today than a lot of people think.
