With the news of TD possibly being out

I don’t understand this line of thought as a businessman. If my company was getting a surge in orders for the last 18 months, we would figure out a way to increase capacity. This isn’t going away, figure something out and increase capacity. I would be fired if I told my paying customers to “stay at home.”

"Ramping up" is hard. You can't suddenly have more ICU beds, more trained nurses, more doctors, more equipment for a rapid surge.

An okay analogy I saw was that McDonalds serves like 2.5 billions burgers per year. Covid is like going to an individual store and ordering a millions burgers in a single day and that happening all over the world.

Also, if you dont get your burgers you might die.

Haha, people with vaccine are still getting covid and transmitting covid. I'm not here to go back and forth but that is a fact. The majority on here, around me, and the research I've done is all the same. The vaccine is supposed to reduce symptoms, that's it.

People who are vaccinated are getting covid and transmitting covid *LESS* than unvaccinated people.

People who are vaccinated are being hospitalized for covid *FAR LESS* than unvaccinated people.

Welcome to the new normal!

Please GTFO with this madness.

You say "thats it" like its some small feat. Do you know how many 20-40 year old healthy individuals who were unvaxxed I've seen die, alone and scared, in our COVID ward here at my hospital?

27 in 3 weeks. Dead, some in the span of 48 hours from coming in.

Now ask me how many 20-80 year old vaccinated individuals I have seen die.

And reduce the amount of time you are a carrier

doesn’t matter to me though. One 34 year old with 2 kids just died in my community and a lady at my church her son in law mid 30s is on a vent with his wife 5 months pregnant.

Everyone do what they want just don’t whine when they get sick or a loved one gets sick and dies.

Are you an Orderly?

I was thinking the same thing...

More importantly, don't come into my hospital and take up an ICU bed from a child with a GSW or a cancer patient. You have every right to not get vaccinated, you also have the right to stay home and die and not impact the healthcare system with your ill fated decision.

It is obvious by your statement that you have ZERO idea how Hospitals make a large portion of their profit. Newsflash, it isn't from caring for people who then die. Its from elective surgeries.

Do you handle overdoses the same way? What if the cancer patient is a chronic smoker? Do we let them die in the parking lot as well? How about the obese individuals with heart disease that eat fast food and not take care of themselves their entire life?

I understand where you are coming from but the same can be said in the examples i just gave you.
Can we cut the political shvt and get back to Clemson football questions?

May bode well for the tigers. The hardest front to block out of a Pro-I set is an odd front. This may force Venables to stay in it for the most part. I think we’re going to see a combo of Bresee, Foster, Murphy inside with XT being the swing man. My dads been a Pro-I high school coach for 30 years and he hates when defenses line up in a 3-3-5 or 3-4. With UGA being down a bunch of outside weapons they’re going to try getting comfortable out of a pro set. They won’t score more than 13. If TD is in fact healthy it may be worse for them.

You are probably right that we will just see more DE on the field.

If they get comfy in a Pro-I set and don’t have tempo, they will completely fvck themselves. Hopefully Kirby’s ego is too big to see that.

You comments are arrogant and BS - then let's not give treatment to people who smoke, take drugs, who are fat, or make other bad lifestyle choices that put them in the hospital. Realize what you are saying!

Think I know the guy you are talking about that’s on a vent. Really awful stuff.

You are seriously comparing lifestyle choices that take YEARS to possibly put you in a ICU and are not contagious to Covid19?

I know exactly what I am saying. There are people and children, who at no fault of their own or by any decision they have made, that can not have their lives saved because our ICU's are full with unvaccinated people who a few days earlier were probably on facebook or some message board like this touting how Covid is fake and the vaccine is a political weapon, etc. Then they all say the same thing before they go on the ventilator.

Thats the kind and compassionate liberal view.
Ha, I show more compassion on a daily basis in my left finger than you probably have in your life. I show the same level of care to all my patients, vaccinated, unvaccinated, white, black, neon pink, etc. That does not change facts. People are allowing politics and god knows what else cloud their decision making as it pertains to the worst pandemic in the history of the modern medical world. BUT, I still support their decision as it is their right. I do not support them having every opportunity to 300%+ reduce their risk of serious symptoms and then take a ICU bed from a 12 year old who was shot in a drive by.

I am a conservative Republican, by the way.

Screen name has zero affiliation to college athletics. I rejoined last night. Based on current statistics you will most likely need to visit hospital and will be thanking a healthcare worker just like me who saved your life, or you'll be dead.

Enjoy the ride.

when you say "research i've done" do you mean watched youtube videos and spent time googling things?

because that's not research

If it’s my time to die then that’s what the good lord had intended for me. I’ll live my life how I choose to. I have health care workers in my family that don’t have the vaccine. I also have people in my family that do have it and I respect them all the same because that’s what good hearted people do.. not talk down on amd tell people they are going to die because they don’t get a vaccine. Just like you ****ing clown

Wow, you really are an angry individual huh? When did I say you were going to die if you didn't get the vaccine? My premise in all these posts has not once been lecturing people that they HAVE to get vaccinated. It has simply been, if you don't want to get vaccinated that's fine, but keep yourself home or go take whatever miracle cure is being touted on these fringe conspiracy theory forums that a majority of non vaxxers seem to subscribe to.

Honest question, do you do anything to help mitigate your likelihood of contracting Covid? Mask in public, social distancing, etc?

You saying don’t go to a hospital if you srnt vaxxed is worse than telling someone they have to get it tbh. For the record I’m not someone who doesn’t believe in Covid. I work outside basically by myself all the time. I don’t wear a mask unless it’s mandated for where I’m supposed to be. Like this Saturday I’ll wear it when needed. But no I don’t wear a mask in public all the time. I do try my best to stay away from people in public but you know as well as I do that it isn’t possible to always do that. I take plenty of emergen-c every day. Ive been healthy amd I’m young. I just don’t want to get the Vax yet simple as that. I’m waiting to see the repercussions of it before I take it. And yes if I end up getting Covid and I need to go to the hospital by god I’m going and if you got a problem with it then shove it.

What makes you think there will be repercussions for you if you take the vaccine? The percentage of individuals with complications like Myocarditis or similar adverse effects is negligible. You have more likely hood of a commercial airliner landing on your head then having a complication with the vaccine.

Yes I am saying that. And if you your opinion is different, then let's talk about a person who takes drugs. People make these decisions and they have to live with it but it does not mean we deny them care.

You do realize that 5-10% of Americans legitimately cannot take the vaccine due to allergies or health situations? We are dealing with this now at work for those who cannot take the vaccine when considering vax mandates. Do you want to deny them care?

So get off your high horse and stop your radical statements and stop monolithically applying your opinion to affect people's medical care.

The vaccine greatly reduces the chance of getting COVID and transmitting COVID but does not eliminate altogether. The vaccine dramatically reduces hospitalizations, ICU admiissions, and deaths.

There is not, nor has there ever been, a healthcare crisis due to hundreds of thousands of Drug overdoses happening at the same time causing a systemic collapse of our ability to treat every patient in Hospitals.

Making these absurd comparisons just further illustrates how benign any argument against my primary point is. Of course those who can not get vaccinated due to medical reasons should be treated if they get COVID. I would also hope those same people are doing everything in their power to avoid contracting COVID though. My "High horse" has consistently been directed at one group of individuals. Those who can, but refuse to get vaccinated based on false information from boards like this or anywhere on social media, then when they catch COVID they get much sicker than they need to, and we arrive where we are today with a majority of states suffering from 90+ capacity in ICU's.

Facts:
Of all COVID positive patients in hospitals in the United States, 98.9% are unvaccinated.
Of all COVID positive patients that die in hospitals in the United States, 99.998% are unvaccinated.

I comfort people as they die alone or as they are put on a ventilator while they beg for the Vaccine that had told me just days before when they were admitted that they doubt they have Covid, and it's fake, and the Vaccine is "Biden's political weapon" ( Which is seriously wild considering Trump deserves a majority of the credit for it). At the same time we have to turn away critical patients who die sometimes on our lobby floor because we have no where to put them.

*its supposed to. If it "greatly " and "dramatically" reduced positive cases such as Tyler Davis wouldn't be happening at such a high rate.

People who are vaccinated are getting covid and transmitting covid *LESS* than unvaccinated people.

People who are vaccinated are being hospitalized for covid *FAR LESS* than unvaccinated people.
I keep hearing these terms "greatly " "far less" and "dramatically" in response. Can someone who is pro vaccine actually give a statistically factual answer that backs this up? When terms like this are used it comes off as regurgitating what is seen and heard on the news/internet.

Fact: The vaccines were developed using aborted fetal cells. That alone is enough for many of us to refuse the vaccine.

Fact: The overall survival rate is ~99%.

Fact: Deaths caused by Covid 19 are ~150% less than during peak levels in January 2021.

Fact: The Survival rate of Covid 19 for ages 0-19: 99.993%. If you are under 19: Chance of dying in a car crash: 1 in 7,700. Chance of dying of Covid: 1 in 500,000.

Fact: The vaccines are generally no longer effective after about six months.

Fact: Natural immunity is a real thing and a greater protectant against Covid 19 than the vaccines.

Fact: If this is still America, people should have the right to choose whether to take a vaccine like this. And people should be respected regardless of their decision.

would you like to provide some sources backing up these 7 "facts" you've listed?

Oh yeah? But it’s not even proven yet. Nobody knows side effects that could happen 5-10 years later

I don’t care if someone gets vaccinated or not. That said, out of curiosity, what’s your plan if your concerns are accurate and over half America, the President, all of Congress, 96% of doctors, and the military all begin suffering from dangerous/life threatening side effects from the vaccine?

No clue. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
