The arm talent was immediately evident, but we also saw over spring how much more comfortable he grew in a new offense with new teammates and we also saw, even while he was wearing a non-contact jersey all spring, how much his athleticism and frame can make him an asset as a runner as well.
Uiagalelei's Spring Showcase performance wasn't his best day of spring camp. And yet, even on that day through a slow start and some mistakes, you saw why he's just what FSU needs as essentially a one-year rental through the transfer portal.
I'm not saying he's going to lead FSU to a national title or be a Heisman frontrunner. But with the pieces around him -- especially if FSU adds at a few more spots -- he's absolutely capable of keeping FSU's momentum going and leading the Seminoles to a second consecutive ACC championship and a berth in the first 12-team College Football Playoff.
