Worst call I’ve seen in a long time, UVA was literally gifted the game by the refs.
58-58, 1.2 seconds left and Duke ball in the halfcourt. Scheyer draws up a great play for Filipowski cutting to the basket that would have been a dunk right as time expired, but clearly in time. UVA fouled him to prevent the dunk and gets called for it, but it goes to replay and they rule time expired when it was clearly 0.2 where the contact happened. All Duke needed was 1 free throw out of 2, they get no FT’s and then lose by 7 in OT.
I despise Duke to the point I can barely even actively root for them even if it helps us in the standings, but man they got jobbed. It even helped me win moolah and I’m still shocked they overturned it.
