Look to Mike Vrabel? He's from the same coaching tree/style of Belichek and Saban. He's hard nosed, no BS but still a players coach. Would be a lot to draw him there, I don't get the sense that NFL guys are afraid of replacing a college legend, even if it's Nick Saban. He's young enough to still be someone who can win over younger players, but his NFL background speaks for itself. I think he would understand that he needs to surround himself with top level recruiters which shouldn't be a problem at Bama.
I'm also just trying to justify it in my head that they won't turn back around to Dabo and make another run. The longer this thing goes on, the more nervous I get. It's not like a coach hasn't ever taken a job and backed out of it, or accepted one that they turned down before.
