NOT INCLUDING CLEMSON, where would you choose (pre conference realignment and expanded playoff)?

Some things to consider, schools with the following:
  • the best natural recruiting advantages
    • schools with very limited in state competition in talented states (UGA, LSU, OSU, USC, could potentially add PA ST, MICH, UNC)
    • schools in the states with the most overall talent (FL, TX, CA, GA, maybe add AL, PA, OH)
  • the largest/wealthiest alumni bases for NIL purposes/commitment to football
    • Oil money schools (the TX/OK schools)
    • Large state schools (too many to mention)
  • in conferences with large annual payouts (SEC, B1G)
  • the best traditions (too many to mention)
  • have consistently put players in the NFL (this might require a position group by position group breakdown)
  • the easiest path to the playoff (B1G W, Pac 10, Big 12, ACC, SEC East)
  • the best admin (I am not very tapped in here, but know I would not want to go to Austin or Auburn.)
I think USC, OSU, UGA would be my top 3. Huge/talented recruiting base, a top spot for NIL, great tradition, easy path to the playoff. I think USC might be the easiest places to win, followed by OSU, and UGA rounding out my top 3.

Others I considered:
IND: ND, very intriguing option, probably in my top 5 because of their path to the playoff.
SEC: TAMU/LSU/BAMA are all extremely attractive, but just so tough to be in that division.
ACC: FSU creeping up there.
PAC 10: ORE up there.
BIG 12: TX, OSU, OU
B1G: MICH, PA ST
