I'm circulating it here because I think it's an interesting discussion. I have zero idea if there's anything to this and will assume that there's probably not but here's what I heard.
- Texas joining the SEC following A&M's supposed handshake agreement with the SEC ticked off an absurdly wealthy fan base
- SEC has gotten way too top heavy and neither A&M nor Arkansas believe they will thrive long term despite the ESPN money being poured in...and neither school really needs it that badly.
- The ESPN money may not always be there with the way Disney is going lately
- They'd prefer to return to the Big 12 and make sure that Texas can't return, while watching Texas flounder trying to compete in the SEC
- Arkansas has never thrived in the SEC and would rather get back to the Big 12 anyway
