I kinda have some libertarian leanings and think adults should be able to do whatever they want (within the confines of the law of course), but I'm all for us as a nation doing all we can to keep kids from being exposed to hardcore pornography. Same thing with social media sites like instagram (have age verification with no one under 16 allowed on the platform). Both have been proven to be harmful to kids.

It probably would be more effective at the federal level, but I'm for it. Call me old fashioned or whatever.

I'm for not giving them cell phones also. (I didn't have a cell phone until college, and I'm gonna be that dad that is gonna be a stick in the mud on that point and not let them have one until at least high school). The tech is there though to still allow adults on porn sites, but use a third party verification service (third party site won't know what they're logging into, just verifying that they are the age they say they are) to confirm the age of the person trying to get on the site, thus reducing kids exposure to the stuff.

I got no problem with states doing things like this. Decisions like this should be made by individual states and people from those states. If the state I am living in does enough things I don't like, then moving to another one can be done. Plus i have more say in the elections in the state than i do nationally. Much harder to pick up and move to another country. This is really what the founders wanted. Let the federal government handle basic things like national security and international trade. Let social decisions be made by states.

Just tried this a scrolled for 5 minutes on an image search and didn't see a single photo depicting what you said......
