I used the search function and read some older discussion on the matter. Looks like I can use a regular lawyer or a specialist. Apparently you get what you pay for. Also depends on size of estate, etc
We have a will, health power of attorney, and living will from about 18 years ago when the kids were babies, now in college. We will update those and establish a trust or two. And any other tax recommendations from the attorney or specialist.
One older thread did advise to check out the ACTEC website (The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel) to find local attorneys with this designation. It produced Randy Fisher, Tod Hyche, Doug O Neal, Dave Merline, Thomas Sinclair, Dan Collins. All but the last one are downtown. Anyone have feedback on them?
