Now that we’ve had an opportunity to see all the changes that were made and all the players from the portal we added (see: none), we remain dangerously thin at DE and QB. We signed a consecutive strong class to be fair, but I don’t believe we have a day one ready QB should Klubnik continue to be a fringe top 70 qb to turn to nor a DE ready to step in a provide necessary depth.
The playing time divied out behind Parker and Mascoll instructive. At QB, the same could be said. Trent Pearman is our only hope; not necessarily a bad thing as there are folks saying he is a legit option. As bad as we were at WR, we had 2 freshmen who’s playing time in ‘23 can also be instructive.
As the King Himself posted yesterday:
If we reach November again, out of contention for any meaningful trophy, will you be ready to move on?
Last January, 11% said theyd be ready. In October, 54% said theyd be ready.
