Here's the latest we've picked up on the ACC's pursuit of Stanford, Cal and SMU:
Yesterday morning we told you the Stanford/Cal thing was very real, and we were also the first of anyone out there to reveal that SMU is a part of the discussions as well.
We're going to have a more thorough look at this later this morning/midday, but before we get to work on writing that a few bullet points:
-- This thing still has legs, very much so.
-- The ACC's athletics directors met again yesterday afternoon/evening. The presidents are scheduled to meet either. today or tomorrow.
-- The next 18 hours are going to be really telling.
-- At this moment, I'd lean slightly toward no-go. But I must emphasize "slightly." Based on the conversations I've had last night and this morning, it could go either way.
-- Again, we'll have more insight on this later this morning/midday.
