Needs its own thread. Just wait...

Next it'll be gay adoption. Then gay marriage. Then gay civil rights.

And they won't stop there either.

This is full bore fascism and the target will eventually be all brown people, and Jews, and academia, and all political enemies.

Don't let it happen. This is not a vote between liberal and conservative. It's a vote between democracy and authoritarianism.

Nah... You are making this way too complicated. Republicans used to have a pretty good plank to run on with their focus on the Economy and really NOT a lot of focus on social issues. That kind of platform would really appeal to me as I honestly don't care who sleeps with who or what color your skin is. I don't want to know if you are banging another dude (or another woman). You should have the same rights as anyone else... yes. Now go do what you do and don't bother me.

Starting in the mid 90s, Republican seems to need someone to be scared of and portray as "The enemy". They must be "coming for the kids" or "out to destroy the country" This is just more of that. Those trans folks are different enough from most people that attacking them is seen as OK. And that "Us against Them" attitude is quite appealing to a lot of folks.

LoL. Reads my post explicitly stating this is not like any normal Democrat vs. Republican election, then says this is just like in the 90s.

Dude, you can choose to believe me or not, I don't really care, but these aren't Republicans. That party has been overrun by fascists and they're just using the word Republican. They aren't Republicans.

That's why this is different.

OkKaren , you can dress up like a woman that's fine. You're not going into the same bathroom as my daughter.
Yeah that's not what this is really about, so I don't really care. They're just people wanting to live their lives. I don't care if you think they're weird.

My history professors at Clemson would disagree with you.
Well then you need to ask for a refund on your tuition. I don't remember Benito Mussolini supporting private gun ownership, lowering taxes, privatization of industries, or increasing freedom of speech across public platforms.

Again, I don't think it means what you think it means. But don't let facts get in the way of you hyperbole.

LoL 👏

Edit - I'll throw you a bone. It's an ideology, not a series of acts or policies. It can take numerous forms.

And all you cultists need not worry about me. I'm not overly concerned about this. I think Biden will likely win much bigger than he even did last time. But, it's still worth knowing what you're voting against.

Well it’s taken the form of Democrat policies since Jan of 2021
Okay, you've said this several times now. So go ahead, list the rights you had prior to 2021 that you no longer have.

And then list a single right you've had taken in your life.

Mussolini's main policy at the start of his rule in '22 was cutting regulations and taxes, didn't touch Italy's gun or property rights, and implemented huge tariffs on all imports. Italy had always had pretty tight gun laws, but BM didn't do anything to make them worse/looser.

Mussolini was able to use media and propaganda to stir up ultranationalist fervor in former WW1 soldiers, which then became the blackshirts, to help lead his "rebellion." The funny part, is leading up to WW1 he worked for a socialist magazine, but during WW1 he took a hard right turn, focusing on xenophobia, imperialism, and racial superiority, and ended up waging campaigns of terrorism with other hard right leaders against left-leaning groups.

Fun little history lesson for the masses.

I pray every day for my straight, white, blonde haired, blue eyed Son. This fvcked up world is just waiting on its first opportunity to chew him up and spit him out . I never thought I would see the day where I would have to tell my Son that he was to NEVER apologize for being those things regardless of the lunatic lefties and their agenda. To each his own ..... but don't bring that bullspit around me or mine!!

Wait, is your assumption that I have to lose a right for a policy to be fascist? Authoritarian policies are fascist in nature, no? 40 executive orders in his first week should be indicative enough but here is a short list of policies that reflect fascism

-Sent Troops to ukraine without the approval of congress
-Forgave $10k of student debt without the approval of congress and exceeded his constitutional authority
-Invoked the Defense Production Act to force private companies to secure American production of critical materials (ie, Car batteries as an example) in the name of climate justice
-Arrests and raids on Trump, Trump's advisors and closest confidants
-Turning the FBI on parents who voiced concerns at School Boards
-Creation of the Ministry of truth (even though it failed)
-Used executive powers to circumvent the Supreme Court ruling on Roe Vs Wade
-FBI's role in suppressing the laptop
-DOJ helping guard Hunter's tax legalities
-Doubled the size of the IRS and called it "inflation reduction act"
-Vetoed a bill that banned men from competing in women's sports
-Continuously threatened the unvaccinated with social and financial discourse (had a ton of govt people fired)
-His brand new mortgage tax is yet another example of a fascist type policy

By taxes are you including tariffs? Because I would define tariffs, which he did increase, as a Government imposed tax on goods and services. And it is important to clarify, as I'm sure you're aware, that "right" and "left" in Europe are define far differently than how they are in the US.

You sure didn't seem to mind it when the last administration tried to take away our votes
You sure don't seem to mind it when they try to make it harder for people to vote
You sure don't seem to mind it when they take away women's bodily autonomy
You sure don't seem to mind it when they ban books, threaten corporations over free speech, ban black history and don't allow people to say gay.

Sorry dude, but if we're talking about taking away rights, it's decidedly one-sided

It's the beginning of a full assault on civil rights and liberties, and I'm very happy to see Biden making that fact a focal point of his messaging.

Like some evidence of these:

“the last administration tried to take away our votes”

“when they try to make it harder for people to vote”

“when they ban books, threaten corporations over free speech, ban black history and don't allow people to say gay”

And when I say evidence, I mean actual evidence, and not some leftist reporter penning a completely intellectually dishonest article where everything is either a lie or taken out of context. Thanks, I’ll hang up and listen

Mussolini appointed Alberto De Stefani as his minister of finance, and he proceeded to simplify the tax code, cut taxes, and curbed gov't spending in the early 20's. Mussolini was insistent that he would be ousted if he wasn't able to fix the economic issues in Italy following WW1, so did all those things in an effort to combat the high taxes/exorbitant spending/inflation that plagued Italy following WW1.

Being pedantic on European/US right v left isn't that important. Mussolini targeted socialistic and communistic parties and groups as the scapegoats to all the problems in Italy during/following WW1. But for this discussion, we can consider "right" as synonymous with nationalistic, imperialistic, anti-socialistic, and "left" as pro socialism/communism.

If you're asking this question, you're either not an honest person or you have your head stuck so far up the far-right conspiracy bubble that you're clueless. But I'll play along, even though you know the answers already. Here are some examples but there are plenty others that you can investigate on your own but you won't hear any of these things from Andy Ngo or Alex Jones.

or maybe some people don't think cheering on mental health issues is the right approach but hey whatever floats your boat
But you’re fine with Christianity. Fantasy and delusion aren’t good for you either. Where should we stop?

is christianity the only religion that's fantasy and delusion to you or you just a bigot? i'm not religious in the slightest, but that is such a laughably insane comparison you almost have to respect it. did you even consider looking into that comparison before you decided to make it? the statistics for religious people are vastly better on the whole. more likely to be married, more likely to stay married, more longevity, high correlation with religion and escaping poverty, less likely to commit suicide, less likely to be addicted to drugs, less likely to commit crime...it's quite a long list. doesn't mean it's for everyone, but society as a whole is healthier when there is greater religious practice. study after study after study finds the same, you don't have to look hard. you look at the stats on trans people? you probably don't want to.

if you could had anything remotely relevant as a comparison, you'd be on to something though. because you're right to question one thing, where does is stop? if someone paints themself another color and says they identify as that would that be a problem? can a 30 year old identify as a 12 year old and go have a 138 touchdown pop warner season? where should we stop? now we have a state pushing a bill to consider pedophiles a protected class, ok with that too? what comes after that? gonna try to defend rapists? this is the road lib thinking is going down.

Oh my goodness, you ARE indoctrinated! There has never been a WAR on trans, gays or anyone else or any of their rights. A year ago the word trans was never used or talked about. They did their thing and nobody took issue with it. Gender identity was the same. Most Americans were of the philosophy of live and let live, even if they didn't agree. The left chose to make them an issue in the era of Identity politics. Abortion at full term is another that suddenly popped up on the scene. All this shocked the system of rational America and that's when there was push back. The first shots were fired by the radical left.....more like a nuclear bomb. The conservative right is still shaking off the cobwebs and coming to its senses. Using your fiery rhetoric is hateful and just breeds more hate, which is exactly what the left wants.

You're describing America in May of 2022?
