Dabo has to self scout this. We’ve done it for years.
It happened in key moments twice today. On 3rd and 4 from the 50, you’ve got to have a plan. Obviously a fake punt on 4th and 1 when we were getting 5 yds a pop is asinine. But even worse is calling a timeout to talk it over instead of lining up and running a play.
The timeout before going for it down at the goal line on 4th and 1…. Just awful timeout.
Both moments, the defenses were reeling. If you’re gonna go, then go. If you’re gonna kick, then kick. How do you not know on 3rd down what the plan is? Why allow defense to substitute, rest, and discuss while causing the offense to lose all rhythm?
This is something that we’ve done for years that infuriates me. And it doesn’t fit Dabo to be so indecisive. I don’t understand what the deal is there.
