This team is no different in terms of characteristics than any team we've had in the last 30 years when it comes to the offensive line. The OL simply sucks at pass pro, and it has been a common trait for decades. We've got some athletes this year and we've had dudes in the past on the OL but the only thing they can ever do and do well is run block. Why is it so difficult to take the same set of dudes and teach them how to maintain a clean pocket for more than 2 seconds? With Watson and Lawrence, we had two once in a generation QBs and they each had unique ways of compensating for this deficiency but we can't expect to have those type of QBs every season. At some point, a Clemson OL for once needs to learn how to pass protect. How many times have you ever heard national media mention Clemson's OL as a weapon, much less in terms of pass pro? Thoughts?
