ACC tourney attendance by host city

1986, 1996, 1998, 1999 - Durham avg 23k

1987-1995 Greenville avg 38k

1997 St Pete 32k

2000 ft mill 26k

2013-14, Durham avg 58k
2015 Durham record 64k

2021, 2022 Charlotte avg 54k

Years not listed didn't have attendance info listed on site. Would be nice to see 2001-2012.

Was in Salem VA for a few years and Jax for 4, I think.

Went to pod in 2018. Before that a mix of round Robin and round Robin division with a champ game.

Safe to say it dropped significantly when it left Greenville after 1995 and jumped significantly when UNC began to be a national player and games were in Durham.

Not sure how days of tourney and sessions have changed over the years. That would impact #s bigly.

Looking for one Regional ticket

I don't have concrete plans, but I'll probably head to Clemson Friday and/or Saturday for the games. (I have plans for Sunday.)

I know I can buy tickets through Clemson, but if someone is getting a ticket for the entire Regional has might have an extra for Friday or Saturday, let me know.

I will be sure to shower and won't exhibit my incessant whistling skills...

(TICKET FOR FRIDAY FOUND, SO I AM GOOD TO GO.)

Baseball Recruiting

Baseball recruiting is tough to get a read on. There doesn’t seem to be a great site to track it.

For those in the know, do we have some studs coming in? Anyone at risk of not making it to school due to the draft? Is Bakich’s performance drawing more interest? Just as importantly, what are the chances we hold on to Belanger and bring in some top arms?

Finally, are we hearing any word on which players from the current team we are likely to lose to the draft? I used to follow a lot more closely but the Monte Lee era really snuffed out my baseball enthusiasm for a bit.

OT: How has sports in your life changed since Covid??

Real talk… on a scale of 1 to 10, where do sports rank in your life, compared to where they were before the LSU loss in 2020??

Not one single sport has my attention like before then. I want us to do well. I expect us to do well. I hate when we lose.

But, the way it affected the rest of my life before isn’t close to now. If we lose now, or miss a recruit, or whatever it is… it’s gonna be ok, now.

Is it because we won some natties? Is it because Braves won one soon after our run? Hell, I don’t know. But it’s different.

Or was it that I prioritized things in my life differently? I decided other things meant more? My kids’ sports schedules got busier and more urgent? It’s just different now.

Am I the only one?

Baseball request

@Cris_Ard @Larry_Williams @Paul Strelow

I know 7 would love to stay in the background with the postseason coming up, but at some point I would love to hear his thoughts on the season, jersey ceremony, and just the process of being back in the dugout and how much it's meant to him.

Maybe after the season as a reflection piece?

It's a very unique situation and I'd love to hear his perspective of it all.

Thanks guys! Enjoy it all as always!

OT: Weekend Outdoor Cooking Thread....

Calling my fellow Neanderthals, who will be cooking over live fire this weekend?

Grilled/Smoked (set up the Weber Grill way offset) Chicken Breast "Tenderloins" Wednesday, to serve over a Southwest Salad based on this recipe:

Same approach for some Country Style Ribs last night.

Got a small (9.33 lbs.) Brisket that will go on the 23" WSM shortly after dawn tomorrow.
