Let's talk a little football. I'd like to get smarter about the finer details of the game. This is a play we ran vs. Notre Dame the ACC championship in 2020.
It looks to me like this route combo worked because Amari knew that his DB in man coverage would overrun the play and lose inside leverage as the play first starts to develop. This was an easy TD and we used to hit on a lot of plays like these.
What do y'all see here? Can't quite see from the clip, did the safety blow his coverage?
