I defrosted one of the $6.99 rib roasts from last year and grilled it. I wrapped it extremely well in saran wrap first, then put into a zip lock bag, then wrapped again, then zip locked again. They came out looking good, a little frozen moisture on them. However, when I cooked them, the taste is definitely off. They did not have any freezer burn or anything to indicate anything was off.
What did I do wrong?
Is one year too long to freeze something?
FYI, I just bought some more this year and froze the ones I didn't use over the holidays as well.
