Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview safety/receiver Mike Matthews will be on hand with his parents, Tigerillustrated.com has confirmed.
Matthews (6-1, 180), ranked No. 7 nationally by Rivals.com, has made trips to UGA, Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn this spring.
He was a scratch from the January elite junior day because he figured he would get back for a spring practice.
Better late than never.
We do consider the Tigers to have a strong chance of securing one of his June official visits.
As we reported in February, Clemson has expanded the courtship to where it would take Matthews as a receiver as well as a safety.
