Should give you a pretty good idea of who Tom Allen is as both a person and a coach. I think the first article is the most telling. He is another Dabo, but maybe not quite as charismatic in the public eye. He definitely is with his coaches and his players.
Schematically, we are not going to be much different than what we have seen. What we should see is better understanding of the defense and coordination of the position groups. Rebuilding confidence and getting players into the right positions will likely be a major focus in spring ball. I would expect TJ Parker, Brown, and Woodaz to be thrilled with this move, and I wonder if Hampton might become that special hybrid safety that brings a lot of versatility to the scheme.
