An update on what we're picking up on the ACC expansion front:
We keep waiting for this Stanford/Cal/SMU thing to die but .... it's not dying.
Michael Silver, the former Sports Illustrated writer who's now a columnist for the San Fransisco Chronicle, reported this a few hours ago:
Per a conversation we had with a contact 10 minutes ago, Silver's report is definitely jumping the gun because expansion isn't imminent and isn't far enough along to be in the finalization stage.
But here's the catch:
It has life. Real life.
My read on it as of now is that finality one way or another will come next week.
