Aaron Rodgers doesn’t just mop the floor with DBs

players give vague and misleading answers on injuries and other things all the time. The Covid situation just had people losing their mind.

It didn’t matter how much money someone makes…personal issues on their health and health decisions doesn’t have to be, nor is it, anyone else business
Good point on injuries. He has the right to not answer if he wanted to and if someone got mad about him wanting to remain private, then that would be a whole different conversation I think. But he didn’t. He gave a misleading answer.

we will agree that you believe he gave a misleading answer and I feel he gave a vague answer

but regardless misleading answer and vague answer on your health to essential strangers is not a lie…he does not owe them to be truthful in every answer

Athletes and coaches mislead the media all the time. It’s not new.

So why not just say: "my teammates and the Packers organization know my vaccination status. It's nobody else's business." Why lie about it

is that any different than someone being injured and stating that they’re day to day knowing they aren’t playing. Or coaches saying such and such will be available and they know they arent

Who cares…he did not lie…he gave a vague or “misleading” answer

who cares…he didn’t lie. Lying would have been “yea I am vaccinated”

If your intention was to give a misleading statement….don’t be surprised if someone gets upset later on when they find out they were mislead. Especially when you are a public figure that gets paid millions upon millions to do what you do. I really don’t understand why this is so hard for people to understand.
Now we're getting to the bottom of the issue here...I'm not surprised at all. I'm not surprised that some people feel misled, nor am I surprised at how stupid those people are.

What I am surprised about is that there are people on TI who felt misled, or who are defending the media and the NFL in this situation over Rogers.

I guess that's my fault though. Because I am a Clemson graduate, I tend to assume that everyone here is a Clemson graduate, and that is obviously not the case.

Come on, that's like saying Bill Clinton didn't lie because Monica wasn't giving him a bj at the exact moment he was asked the question. Rodgers lied, which potentially put people at risk.
Your answer is soooo 2020-1.

We had a wonderful opportunity to push a healthier lifestyle on all the fat fvcks who also increase health care cost for everyone before COVID was even a thing, but instead we completely ignored the self induced ailments that made COVID way worse. Also, forcing healthy people who weren’t at risk from COVID to get an experimental vaccine is the very definition of fascism, along with controlling the medias reporting of COVID.

Had a fat elephant of a woman say something to me about not having a mask on in the grocery store once they weren’t required. Told her since her health was now my concern, that I reserve the right to follow her around the grocery store monitoring what she put in her cart since she was obviously obese. She was so angry she starting sweating and everyone else was laughing at her.
Beautiful.

We are always under oath where God is concerned. I worry about the people on here that think lying is okay.
Rarely it’s ok. I would always lie to an enemy to gain an advantage.
I guess that as a Clemson fan I’ve come to believe it’s ok to lie or use the Rodgers approach about injuries.

but he didn’t lie…he was asked a question and he answered is vaguely and that’s his right. He never said he was vaccinated…he did an alternate treatment and stated he was immunized. Reporters and media never asked follow up questions to find out exactly what that means

I don’t give a shit one way or another but peoples medical decisions aren’t the publics business so he answered a question in a vague manner which is his right. The media got pissed when it was made known he wasn’t vaccinated and made a huge ordeal out of it calling him a liar but he never said “yes I’m vaccinated”
I dont know man. It sounded like something Bill Clinton would say.

It is tragic. A few years ago I started doing volunteer work with the DSS training people with vision loss to use their phones and computers. By far the biggest cause of vision loss is retinopathy due to diabetes. Diabetes can also cause neuropathy in the fingers which makes just using a touch screen difficult.

It is almost impossible to eat healthy nowadays unless you fix all your meals at home from basic ingredients. Our government allows substances like high fructose corn syrup in everything, but it is controlled or banned in many countries.
It is tragic on many levels. My wife spent 16 years in the healthcare practice at Marsh, diabetes came up a lot in her work.

I agree that eating healthy can be difficult and expensive. The first step, if you’re not going to eat healthier, is to at least cut back on portion size. I struggle to sympathize with those who don’t even try.

Or even just 10 minutes of walking. It’s wild how unhealthy people are and continue to do nothing about it.

Like no, you don’t need a double cheeseburger with a large fry and Mountain Dew and then go home and pig out on more Mountain Dew.

My MIL in SoCal; Case Study No. 1.

Whine about it, but do nothing to help solve the problem. At some point, you stop talking about the issue(s) and actually DO SOMETHING.

Nope; just keep complaining. And even better, make up more excuses why you don’t need to take action. “I’ll be dead soon” is a common one.

My kid laughs at me when I do this, but I’m 100% serious. When I’m driving and I see a really overweight person out jogging or going for a walk, I applaud and/or say encouraging things (inside the car) rather than say something nasty. Again, are you at least trying? Yes? Then God Bless you and I hope you reach whatever goal you’ve set for yourself. Keeping weight off is VERY difficult for some folks, and I shouldn’t forget that.

First of all CoffeeIsForLosers = Troll. You won't win any conversation with an idiot. If Aaron Rodgers lied, it's perfectly within his right. There is no law that says you have to tell the truth unless you are under oath on a witness stand. So, as far as I'm concerned, you're just arguing because you like to. If the media doesn't like it, then they should try telling the truth on occasion. Pot meet kettle.

No it isn’t. But I see “fascism” misused frequently. If only more folks had watched Pinky Blinders, Tommy Shelby gives a quick lesson, haha.

I hear you on concern for government control. Don’t totally agree with all of your entire premise in this case, but I’m a health care professional so my view is likely to be different. Your example of the woman in the grocery store, spot on. Wouldn’t have been such as asshole though.

You couldn't be any more wrong.

Well we can agree to disagree on what Fascism is or isn’t, but no issues brother.

On the asshole comments, I’m not in the $hit taking business, from anyone. So if some cow wants to come at me unhinged for not wearing a mask, she better be prepared to get her feelings hurt.

What part of "do you not understand, its not any of your business if a person is/was vaxed"

He didn't put anyone at risk more so than a person who was vaxed that was still getting people sick.

You’re not going to win with people who are committed to a narrative, rather than to being honest

Thanks for the totally irrelevant post. Nobody was talking about charging Rodgers with a crime.

Nobody makes this argument with a straight face lol. Most parents have to teach their children the concept of "lie by omission" pretty early in life. I'd put Aaron at about third grade thought process level with what you're describing.

You know that’s factually wrong, don’t you?
The vaccines impact on transmission is minimal at best. Unless you are arguing that people may have been erroneously confident in their own immunity after vaccination and were inadvertently more like to spread covid by taking less precaution. I think there may be some data suggesting that...

No sir. You saying vaccine prevents COVID again?
Let’s take a look at what you actually said that was wrong, instead of the motte and bailey game you’re playing here:
Put anyone at risk?? The vax has zero to do with catching the virus or being contagious. People don’t still argue that, do they?
The fact is that COVID vaccines do prevent people from getting and being contagious with COVID, to varying degrees of effectiveness depending on which variants are prevalent and how long ago you were vaccinated. But you’re arguing as if any breakthrough infections existing means nobody vaccinated is protected from illness.
