Abolish income tax? hmm

I don't see a sustainable way to actually eliminate it at this point, but I would love to see dramatic reductions in spending in addition to alternative revenue streams that would allow us to reduce income tax significantly. Federal + FICA + State + Local taxes should not be such a large % of people's income. Federal taxes being the largest and least efficient use of your hard-earned money.
I'd love for Trump and the repubs to seriously take a look at the tax system and tax reform. It would dovetail nicely into the efforts to reduce the size of the federal government. Do a national sales tax or a flat tax and it could be managed / audited/enforced by a handful of people.
