Has Bryan Bresee been the top DL in San Antonio?

GORNEY'S VIEW: YES

The expectation on Bresee is so high that even if he’s slowed up for even a split-second then the offensive lineman considers it a win. But he has clearly been the best and it’s without question. He’s almost paid reverence by everybody else on the field as they’re blown away by his dominance and his aggressiveness.

The Clemson signee is showing an extraordinary amount of toughness this week playing with a club on his broken hand and still dominating on almost every rep. There is no question that William Anderson had a breakout day on Wednesday and that Myles Murphy is an elite five-star who should be considered among the top-five prospects nationally, but Bresee has consistently dominated in such a special way that he’s clearly been the best defensive linemen at this event.

SPIEGELMAN'S VIEW: NO

Bresee is the No. 1 prospect in the country and it's rather obvious as to why, but the future Clemson defensive lineman took a back seat to Alabama signee William Anderson during Wednesday's joint East-West practice at Heroes Stadium. Anderson was absolutely brilliant off the edge and turned in absolutely the most dominating effort of anyone during the 1-on-1 session.

Bresee, meanwhile, did his best when he could exercise his incredible spin move and trick up opposing tackles, but was not as dominant when he shifted inside to tackle. Additionally, Texas A&M signee Donnell Harris has turned in a strong two days with his explosiveness off the edge. Fellow Clemson signee Myles Murphy is so powerful and plays with a high motor, while LSU signee Jacobian Guillory has been an absolute tank in the middle and has given every interior lineman some headaches.
