Alabama shooting

Frankly my community is just fine. I have no idea about the politics of the town council as they run as individuals, not part of a party. But random violence is occurring in many places. And actually there is a higher chance (on a per capita basis) of harm happening to people due to gun violence in states where Republicans are in the majority. The South is a particularly deadly state when it comes to that. (If you want me to cite that fact, I am happy to but you can google it yourself if you don’t believe me.)

Sporting events aren’t generally a risky place because just about everyone I go to requires attendees to pass through metal detectors!
I'll bet if you do a little more research, you will undoubtedly find that the areas in these republican states where most gun violence occurs are in cities and counties under democrat control.

I have no problem if you want to find stats on crime in republican stated based on who has local control. In most states this would be determined by who the mayor is.

Hahaha oh so you're dictating the terms of how that's decided. Okay, well I guess we can go ahead and scratch Nashville off. Kane is a republican. Uvalde as well, Republican mayor. Want me to keep going?

Want to just make some other criteria that would be even more favorable for you?

Are you suggesting places with democrat mayors are under local republican control? How would you propose how it is decided who has local govt control?

Also, yes please keep going instead of citing one small tx texas town with 15K people, as being representative, lol. Also, I think John Cooper is the mayor of Nashville/Davidson county is he not?

That was a mistake I meant Knoxville. It's not even possible to keep it straight it's happening so much.

Regardless, there are many different seats of authority in every city/county. The notion that the mayor's political party "controls" the city is just really dumb, and it only seems to make sense in your Maga echo chambers. It doesn't stand up to actual scrutiny.

Please excuse my ignorance for believing the predominate political view/party would be represented in an area would be reflected by the political party they voted for, lol. What criteria would you recommend?
