Here is a list of our ALL Time top 75 recruits by ranking and position since 2000

QB
1. Lawrence (#1 all time)
2. DJU (#8 all time) - ON ROSTER
3. Klubnik (#17 all time) - ON ROSTER
4. H. Johnson (#26 all time) - ON ROSTER
5. Boyd (#28 all time)
6. Watson (#37 all time)
7 Korn (#55 all t ime)

We have 3 top 30 all time recruits regardless of position on our roster for the 2022 season. We were able to win big with Lawrence, Boyd and Watson. Korn was a bust. H. Johnson transferred and didn't do much after that. DJ won 10 games, but didn't have a great season passing the football.

RB
1. Spiller (#11 all time) - RB Coach
2. Bowman (#13 all time)
3. Shipley (#29 all time) - ON ROSTER
4. Feaster (#34 all time)
5. Bellamy (#39 all time)
6. Harper (#40 all time)
7. Kelly (#47 all time)

Spiller was amazing. Bowman, Feaster and Bellamy all transferred. Harper was solid for us. Shipley had a great first season. We only have 1 of our top RB's on our roster, but our best RB ever is now the RB coach. We have three really good RB's on our roster right now, but we still need to recruit more top players and better players at this position.

WR
1. Crosby (#6 all time)
2. Watikins (#14 all time)
3. Cain (#15 all time)
4. Higgins (#18 all time)
5. Currie (#30 all time)
6. Ladson (#36 all time)
7. Peake (#38 all time)
8. Ross (#41 all time)
9. Ngata (#45 all time) - ON ROSTER
10. E. Williams (#52 all time) - ON ROSTER
11. A. Scott (#57 all time)
12. Hopper (#58 all time)
13. B. Collins (#60 all time) - ON ROSTER
14. McCloud (#62 all time)
15. X. Kelley (#73 all time)
16. Randall (#75 all time) - ON Roster

We have 4 guys on the Roster for 2022 out of the top 75 all time since 2020. There is A LOT of NFL talent in this group. Grisham needs to really start living up to the level that Scott and Dabo laid out for him. Our WR's need to really show great improvement this upcoming year and we need to land some top flight WR's in this next class.

TE
1. Briningstool (#50 all time) - ON ROSTER

We only have 1 TE recruit in the top 75 players of all time. We need to recruit better at this position. Briningstool is going to be awesome over these next few years. I am glad to see new blood coaching this position because a certain coach that starts with a P as their last name was NOT.

OL
1. Leigh (#10 all time) - ON ROSTER
2. Hyatt (#19 all time)
3. Carman (#20 all time)
4. Parks (#43 all time) - ON ROSTER
5. McClain (#61 all time)
6. Putnam (#70 all time) - ON Roster
7. Tchio (#71 all time)

Again, not a very strong recruiting list. We have definitely done well getting the great ones we have into the NFL, but the problem is we aren't getting the top ones very often. Good news is we have 3 on our roster for this upcoming season and 1 hasn't played yet. We have a ton of young talent that should develop over the offseason and really give us a strong 10 guys next season.

DE
1. Bowers (#2 all time)
2. X. Thomas (#5 all time) - ON ROSTER
3. Murphy (#7 all time) - ON ROSTER
4. Henry (#9 all time) - ON ROSTER
5. Sapp (#24 all time) - Strength Assistant Coach
6. Goodman (#51 all time)
7. Denhoff (#74 all time) - ON ROSTER

We have 4 guys on our roster out of the top 7 all time. In my opinion, our DE group with the return of Thomas and Kelly will be the BEST in the country next year. We need to continue to get the big time guys though. That is the challenge. Next years class will need to be epic in terms of top flight DE's.

DT
1. Bresee (#3 all time) - ON ROSTER
2. Lawrence (#4 all time)
3. Wilkins (#21 all time)
4. Capehart (#32 all time) - ON ROSTER
5. Thompson (#49 all time)
6. C. Watkins (#54 all time)
7. Page (#66 all time) - ON ROSTER
8. Huggins (#67 all time)
9. T. Williams (#68 all time) - ON ROSTER

We also have 4 guys on the roster out of the top 9 all time. This group like DE will be the best in the country in my opinion. We lost out on a top guy to UNC this year, but Eason is a big upgrade and I think we are going to see GREAT development of our young guys next season as well as landing some big time guys in recruiting.

LB
1. Steward (#12 all time)
2. Anthony (#16 all time)
3. Simpson (#23 all time) - ON ROSTER
4. Carter (#31 all time) - ON ROSTER
5. Trotter (#33 all time) - ON ROSTER
6. Lamar (#48 all time)
7. S. Smith (#63 all time)
8. ODaniel (#72 all time)

There are some serious studs in this group. Again, we have 3 out of the 8 on our roster. Are you seeing a pattern with the defensive side? The three guys on our roster are all athletic studs, if Godwin can coach as good as Venables, then we are going to be in good shape. However, we need bodies. We really are low in numbers at the LB position. Getting Dudley and McCloud will go a long way toward helping with depth.

DB
1. Booth (#22 all time)
2. Kendrick (#25 all time) - Was moved from WR
3. Alexander (#27 all time)
4. Lukus (#35 all time) - ON ROSTER
5. Terrell (#42 all time)
6. Davis II (#44 all time) - ON ROSTER
7. McMichael (#46 all time)
8. Mullen (#43 all time)
9. Pride (#56 all time) - ON ROSTER
10. McDaniel (#59 all time) - Coaching at Clemson
11. Gilchrist (#64 all time)
12. Blanks (#65 all time)
13. Fields (#69 all time)

Again, some serious NFL Talent on this list. 3 are on our roster for this upcoming season. It is too bad that Goodrich or Booth didn't stay because this defense could potentially be the best Clemson has ever put on the field if both of them stayed. Either way, we are going to be pretty damn good and a top 10 type defense in the country. Reed has done a great job of recruiting and developing players at the DB position. Conn has also helped in this department.

The good news is that out of the top 75 players from 2000 that we recruited (Recruiting rankings), we have 12 players on offense and 14 on defense for a total of 26 out of the top 75 players (35% of all time talent since 2000 is on our roster this upcoming season).

The bad news is that we would have had 3 more top 75 all time recruits with Everette (25th all time for Clemson, 2nd best DB), Campbell (57th all time, 7th best DE), and Sabb (11th best DB, 63rd all time). Kanak wouldn't have been in the top 75. In fact, if we get Dudley, he is actually rated quite a bit higher than him, so that would be a bonus.
