Amazing how bad McNeese D looks when opponent offense actually moves

Not only that, Purdue has figured out what was obvious early on against us. McNeese can’t shoot. Pack the inside and force them to shoot and not drive the ball. Not sure why we kept allowing them to beat us off the ball

We beat them 2nd half as bad as they beat us the 1st half , with no Dillon and a 50 percent Ian . If we could have gotten to OT we would have won . That said , no excuses for the embarrassing first half .

Coaching was way down the list of issues.
I gotta disagree, after about 10-15 mins of getting killed I thought we could've changed something up. My biggest point is we were getting killed by a team that couldn't shoot. WE could have easily just said take the driving lanes away and make them make shots, kinda like what they were doing.

Maybe I am way off here but its kinda like continually trying to run the ball up the middle when its not working, you gotta make an adjustment.

The gameplan and lack of adjustments were both hideous. Believe me, everyone knows. Has to be better

The offense honestly didn’t move bad. We had about 5-6 wide open threes that we missed. We got some good shots. If we hit those in the first half. The game wouldn’t have been close.

When you have only scored 8 points in 13 minutes you have to make a major adjustment. He should have started pressing at that time to see if they could get some turnovers and easy buckets. Obviously running his half court offense was a disaster. Getting out coached for the first 5 minutes is one thing. Refusing to adjust and getting out coached for 30+ minutes is ridiculous.

Not sure why Clemson basketball coaches have to so stubborn. Purnell wouldn’t come out of the press to save his life even if he was continually giving up layups. That stubborn BS cost us an ACC tournament championship against UNC.

It’s amazing to me how you know so much abt the game but admitted in another thread you didn’t watch the game. Got damn man your good

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned that a good friend (very knowledgeable) pointed out the other day…

McNeese Coaches, at least 2, watched probably every Clemson game…bc they are Clemson fans. They were extremely familiar with our tendencies. This doesn’t excuse anything bc we should’ve predicted it and broken the tendencies but it’s interesting.

I still don’t think McNeese is very good but they were much better than us that day.

No in the other thread I said I had to leave for my 5 years baseball game so I missed the 2nd half.

How about that summary by Kellogg & Barkley:

BALL MOVEMENT AND BODY MOVEMENT WAS THE KEY.

Too bad we waited 33 minutes before utilizing that BASIC concept

We waited 33 minutes to make a shot.

I don't know why yall have been talking for 2 days about anything different.

A team that was shooting 40% through 3/4 of the season couldnt throw it in the ocean in the tournament. 1-15. All wide open

That's it. That's what happened.

Sometimes shit is simple. Thursday was simple.

When you cannot throw it in the ocean, you turn up your movement to try and get some high percentage shots from underneath

Yea just draw up the layup offense.

Why didn't he do that? What a moron.

You are right. I should have known Kellogg & Barkley are idiots by saying what I was saying. What the hell do they know about basketball???!!!!
