I’ve had bad shoulders for a while, cheerleading at Clemson probably didn’t help. This is the report from my right (the left said basically the same thing). I was told about 4 years ago that I needed left shoulder supraspinatus surgery, but it’s just gotten worse lately. I see the Ortho guy Thursday, but thought I’d see what people thought before I went.
Glenohumeral chondromalacia with full-thickness cartilage loss posteriorly at the glenoid, osteophyte formation and subchondral cystic change. There is a degenerative tear of the posterior labrum with tear extending to involve the superior labrum. The posterior glenoid rim has a rounded contour which would suggest a degree of chronic posterior instability and attritional bone loss.
Small rim rent tear at the insertion of the conjoined segment of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons.
Subscapularis tendinosis with insertional tearing along the upper tendon margin.
Moderate long head biceps tendinosis and tenosynovitis.
Moderate acromioclavicular osteoarthritis.
