Well I was a student at CU in the Amphitheater along with about 4,000 students to hear then anti-war activist Jane Fonda speak (since her confession of faith in Christ, I believe her views have changed). I can recall like it was yesterday as Jane opened with, "Do you think...!" And a CU student hanging from a tree quickly quipped (paraphrase), "Yes lady we think, but what about you..." And her visit went down hill from there. I seem to recall, watching one for the major network evening news broadcasts that day, interviewing a CU female student right after Jane and the student's response was, beep, beep, beep (expletives deleted).
Then I read this week on TI about Pitt student responses to the election. "We don't want, Trump, KKK nor ..." Apparently the Pitt faculty has failed to properly teach on the correct political party of the KKK-- from the beginning 100% true blue Democrats. In a video uploaded to the State Department’s official YouTube page on June 28, 2010, Clinton commemorated late Sen. Byrd by saying, “Today our country has lost a true American original, my friend and mentor Robert C. Byrd. Early in his political career a KKK member and recruiter, only of late to claim his participation was a mistake. However, in 1964 he filibustered 14 hours against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And as was with most all other Democrats, Richard Russell (GA Senator) offered final arguments in opposition to the bill. Hm...why is it that Republicans (including Abe Lincoln) have and continue to be wrongly associated with the KKK (strongly opposed and some were murdered for their opposition), civil rights (affirmed), women's right to vote (strongly affirmed, Democrats radically opposed), and on and on...
I have seem some references on TI that the CU student body has a growing liberal (I really don't like labels) element. Let's hope that truth and reason will continue to be the overwhelming fiber of learning, leadership, faculty and students at Clemson!
PS#1, Thought it interesting last night, possibly a young lady student, was interviewed in the NY demonstration. The questions were: Did you vote? I'm a Bernie supporter but did end up voting for Clinton. Why did you vote for Clinton? Ah... I personally benefited from Clinton's health care bill, and ah... The news caster failed to tell the young lady, Clinton's health care plan never made it off the ground. Interesting though, Clinton last week espoused that her health care plan is the basis of Obama Care. And this is turning out how? Even hubby Bill recently responded about Obamacare, "...it's a mess..." And, oh yes, such self righteous demonstrating students and faculty, the same reporter indicated the demonstrator messages were vulgar cursings, nothing rational or redeeming. And they're finger pointing?
PS#2, Heard it reported that many of Hollywood's elite are in the process of exiting the country. Gosh, does that mean residential real estate prices will be cratering in LA? BTW, just which safe haven country are they all going? Can we help you check your bags?
