Well I was a student at CU in the Amphitheater along with about 4,000 students to hear then anti-war activist Jane Fonda speak (since her confession of faith in Christ, I believe her views have changed). I can recall like it was yesterday as Jane opened with, "Do you think...!" And a CU student hanging from a tree quickly quipped (paraphrase), "Yes lady we think, but what about you..." And her visit went down hill from there. I seem to recall, watching one for the major network evening news broadcasts that day, interviewing a CU female student right after Jane and the student's response was, beep, beep, beep (expletives deleted).

Then I read this week on TI about Pitt student responses to the election. "We don't want, Trump, KKK nor ..." Apparently the Pitt faculty has failed to properly teach on the correct political party of the KKK-- from the beginning 100% true blue Democrats. In a video uploaded to the State Department’s official YouTube page on June 28, 2010, Clinton commemorated late Sen. Byrd by saying, “Today our country has lost a true American original, my friend and mentor Robert C. Byrd. Early in his political career a KKK member and recruiter, only of late to claim his participation was a mistake. However, in 1964 he filibustered 14 hours against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And as was with most all other Democrats, Richard Russell (GA Senator) offered final arguments in opposition to the bill. Hm...why is it that Republicans (including Abe Lincoln) have and continue to be wrongly associated with the KKK (strongly opposed and some were murdered for their opposition), civil rights (affirmed), women's right to vote (strongly affirmed, Democrats radically opposed), and on and on...

I have seem some references on TI that the CU student body has a growing liberal (I really don't like labels) element. Let's hope that truth and reason will continue to be the overwhelming fiber of learning, leadership, faculty and students at Clemson!

PS#1, Thought it interesting last night, possibly a young lady student, was interviewed in the NY demonstration. The questions were: Did you vote? I'm a Bernie supporter but did end up voting for Clinton. Why did you vote for Clinton? Ah... I personally benefited from Clinton's health care bill, and ah... The news caster failed to tell the young lady, Clinton's health care plan never made it off the ground. Interesting though, Clinton last week espoused that her health care plan is the basis of Obama Care. And this is turning out how? Even hubby Bill recently responded about Obamacare, "...it's a mess..." And, oh yes, such self righteous demonstrating students and faculty, the same reporter indicated the demonstrator messages were vulgar cursings, nothing rational or redeeming. And they're finger pointing?

PS#2, Heard it reported that many of Hollywood's elite are in the process of exiting the country. Gosh, does that mean residential real estate prices will be cratering in LA? BTW, just which safe haven country are they all going? Can we help you check your bags?

Agree. Not only are the libs delusional about what their own leaders actual believe and are attempting to do; they are oh so misinformed about what the others (non-libs) believe, care about, or want. The sad thing is that the biggest victims of their policies are actually those that most blindly support them, the African Americans. Here's to hoping that Trump can follow through on his plan to improve the lives of everyone so much so that some of these misconceptions disappear or at least decrease.

I was a Senior and on campus . Did not go . I was working , trying to graduate . I also had friends in VN .

There's not much difference between a liberal and a 2 year old. Like toddlers, liberals need others to make their decisions for them because they don't know what's best for them. The big difference between liberals and 2 year olds is the intelligence level. Even a 2 year old only has to stick a finger in an electrical outlet once before they learn that it's not a good idea. Liberals still haven't figured that out yet.

If you think in current times that Dems are more affiliated with the KKK then Reps then you are a true American idiot or being intentionally deceptive. The GOP is an openly racist party and that is a fact.

Too lazy to learn the truth; too self absorbed wanting something they think is FREE(it's true people....nothing in life is free); too little pride to build a life on their own; too little common sense to understand reality.

I started a new moving company...Celebrity Moving and Storage. Our slogan is "When you promise, we help you deliver". Special rates for moves to Socialist countries.

Must be a Pitt student, operating out of totally falsehoods. Do your research and verify facts before sticking foot in your mouth. To make such foolish, falsehoods as 'GOP is an openly racist party' is a disservice to humanity and this web site. You're clearly apart of the problem, uneducated, possibly a COOT Troll...oh and a Democrat too. Ha.

stopped reading halfway through, KKK endorsed Trump... The democrats of the late 5th party system you describe morphed into modern republicans during the 6th party system alignment (think Strom Thurmond) ... trying to compare the modern republican and democratic parties to those of the 1880s and 1960s is a worthless endeavor.

The bold is one of the thousands of reasons Hillary lost on Tuesday. We moderate Republicans and the working middle class can only be told that we are racist bigots who are uneducated morons some much before we finally say "enough is enough .... FU!"

I don't care that Hillary lost. I really don't. She shouldn't have been the nominee anyway. I really hope Trump proves me wrong too. But if you voted for Trump, you are either a bigot or have a very high tolerance for bigotry. There is no way around that. Sorry.

Really? "You know a racist when you see one"? Can you provide any facts or observations of Trump being a racist? I am hoping you are not going to go down the "he said he is going to build a wall" (which is a stance he has taken against ILLEGAL immigration) or the "He is openly racist against muslims" (which is a stance taken by himself in regards to the safety and well being of his citizens). For f*** sake his own wife is from Slovenia.

You take what you want to see and frame it how you want. I think this is the world we live in now. The "I know a racist when i see one" guy who has no ability to use common sense. It is clear and obvious what Trump was saying........and you know what half of this country believes in what he said. Half of this country is not racist.

Your beliefs do not match his and the easiest way for you to cope with this is to scream racism.

This. Liberals love pointing out the fact that the are "educated" just because they have a college degree. Although ready this guy's post, I can't even imagine him having a college degree.

He's been sued twice by the Justice Department for refusing to rent to black people and other minorities.

He was fined by the governing body of New Jersey casinos for discrimination towards black individuals.

He would not denounce the KKKs and David Duke's endorsement for him this year.

I won't get in to quotes because I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you and I won't agree on what's racist and what isn't when comes to people's comments. But the three things above are records of fact and can't be disputed when it comes to his racist acts.

That was over 40 years ago when he was 27 years old, just a few years after the Civil Rights Act passed. It is also worth noting, the government never did prove its case, like with many cases.

Almost every lender or leasing company has been sued for racial discrimination, including Bank of America.

So this doesn't make him racist? Ok. Because everyone does it. Makes sense.

I'm glad you decided to try and tackle 1 out of 3 though.

the fact that nothing became of any of them, tells you there was nothing there. It there was actual evidence there, the democrat party would have hammered them much more during the campaign. Similar to the way Republicans hammered Hillary with all the evidence in wikileaks.

And Trump's campaign did denounce Duke's support.

And as far as his casino, there was no evidence to prove anything. Also, I am not sure how you can hold Trump accountable for one casino's actions. That is like accusing the CEO of Wal-Mart of racism because the walmart in Myrtle Beach refused to hire a black person.

But keep your headline grabbing if it makes you feel better.

Less than 1% of democrats switched to the Republican party during that time. Everyone uses Thurmond as an example, but there are very few others. If this makes you feel better, keep believing it, but facts say otherwise.

They settled out of court both times. You do that if there wasn't actual evidence?

He "denounced" it after he got blasted over it on every major outlet after he wouldn't do it on air. I'm sure you believe the "faulty ear piece" excuse of why he wouldn't denounce them on CNN.

There were also first hand accounts of Trump's racism at that casino specifically involving him and his requests which is why they were fined. I'm sure no evidence gets you a $200,000 fine too.

I knew liberals would be salty after the big loss, but I had no idea it would be at the meltdown levels we have seen. I just wonder if they are smart enough to read the exit poll data and realize that everything that happened in 2010, 2014 and 2016 is a referendum on Obama?
