John Whittle, who is the baseball reporter for thebigspur and who is obviously a huge gamecock fan, has written a LONG article about all the coaching malpractice that Manieri was guilty of this year. If it's true it's insane.
1. They have a pitching lab that they aren't using.
2. They basically barely lifted weights in The fall and barely practiced.
3. He didn't travel with the team and didn't hardly talk to any of the players.
4. He completely screwed up a kids Tommy John recovery by not listening to g to his doctors.
5. Regularly misspelled names/put the wrong names on lineup cards that ended up making g certain players ineligible for certain games.
6. Every single player regressed from previous year except Nathan hall.
7. He consistently badmouthed the players in the press.
And these are only a few of the accusations. See it's come out the USCe isn't gonna fire Manieri...they are gonna give him money to try and rebuild through the portal. Well the fanbase is up in arms wanting the guy fired, even though he has a $7 million buyout....and he should be fired, he's a bum.
Anyway this is all too hilarious. Whittle has basically written a story with the sole intention of getting Manieri fired, and now said story is going viral.....and the gamecocks wil still prob keep this guy for another season. If Ard is ok with it I'll copy the story onto this thread.
