She was the sweetest lady in the world. Her and her husband were still in the honeymoon phrase even after 40 or 50 years. Cancer survivors at the same time. Yes, they each had cancer at the same time and Patty worked up the energy somehow to take care of her husband each day as she had a little more strength.
Her family doesnt have money for proper service, apparently. Her daughter sent me the link with the horrible news. I thought it was her daily prayer that she sends to me and many many others, but it was the worst of news.
She was just so positive. Her and her husband have a piano that Ray Charles played on for a club they worked at back in the day. Thats my final memory of her….they joy they shared going back to those days up in NY/NJ talking about when Ray would come in (before he was famous) was palpable.
