All signs point to Anthony Goins as the replacement for basketball assistant Steve Smith.
Goins has been at Quinnipiac University for two seasons, and previous to that he was at Yale.
Goins was on campus two days ago, and we were told his hire is "highly likely."
Here is Goins' full bio.
Goins replaces Smith, whose contract wasn't renewed after his entanglement with the FBI investigation into college basketball.
We can also report two other recent hires Brad Brownell has made:
Philip Pearson, formerly an assistant at Mercer, joins the staff as the director of recruiting. He replaces Lucas McKay, who recently left Clemson to become a full-time assistant at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Pearson has more than two decades of coaching experience, having worked at Georgia, Alabama, Murray State and Arkansas-Little Rock. Pearson was associate head coach for Mark Fox at Georgia. Pearson was also interim head coach at Alabama for the final 13 games of the 2008-09 season.
Kylen Butler joins the staff as a graduate assistant. He was a GA for the University of Indianapolis after playing basketball for the Greyhounds in 2017-18.
