What do you think about the East Germans voting for the anti-communists and the West Germans voting for the communists. Do you find that interesting?
East Germany is very similar to the Southern US wrt education/opportunities/industry. Pretty much all the colleges, industries, money are in West Germany (which is why you see them abandoning the far right fascist AdF en masse. It's pretty common knowledge that East Germans are undereducated, comparatively, due to generations of their citizens living under Soviet rule without access to quality work/education.
