My son is a Freshman at Liberty and walked on the football team. Worked his way up to 3rd string in Spring practice and I was looking forward to watching him play in the Spring game next weekend. Unfortunately he caught a ball and felt a crunch. Looked down and his foot was 90 degrees to the right - dislocated. They put it back and there is a small fracture, so surgery today. Wondering about recovery time and does it ever get back to "normal". They said he will be on crutches for 6 weeks and then a boot. Bummed for him as he loves football and was living his dream.
One funny moment while we were talking to the Dr last night, he asked "Am I going to be able to play next weekend." Dr laughed and said, no it will be a bit before that.
